So begins the Mayor's most recent newsletter, which I read to see if I'd missed anything important, like the removal of City Council from the City Charter, but as usual he talked about his favorite subject, himself.
He has the very annoying habit of quoting favorable remarks in the press without attributing them. It's very much like movie review quotes you see like "you'll laugh your until you cry" or "the best slasher film since Jason vs Freddy!!!". He selectively chops out the quotes he likes, but never references the source. I love this line, "Here’s what others are saying", then quotes another (one) unidentified source, though it has a familiar stink.
I can proudly say I have never been quoted by the Mayor, but when he does, I hope he gets my name right.
