Professional responsibilities will probably prevent Jon Baliles from contributing here, but hopefully he is working on the inside making sure Richmond is accurately informed.
Good enough is never good enough. We need to continue to make downtown more accessible, less intimidating and visitor friendly. Remote parking, better transit and a safer, more attractive streetscape can only help. In marketing and economics, perception is critical. A more informative, positive approach from the Mayor's Office can only help.
BTW, when's the last time Mayor Wilder was spotted walking down Broad Street?
