Bye Bye Claudette
Bookstore Piet reports Claudette Yamin, mother of Elliott, has died. How many people didn't know that? She was one of his regulars.

thanks for reporting this, i hadn't heard. evidently a broken hip is almost a certain death sentence among older women, most don't survive another year after suffering that injury. very sad. lovely lady...
I see I'm only 6 days behind this curve, but I think it went largely unnoticed. Nobody at work seemed to know either.
