I always drive to the Cary St Kroger.

Looks like a good spot for a giant VCU student rec center.
Too bad Trani's ego made VCU rush to bulldoze Oregon Hill's historic stables.
It was a better spot for a grocery. Many seniors will be unable to cross Broad Street to get to Kroger. I shall miss the short lines, friendly service and the crowds outside the store waiting to swoop up early morning bargains.
I'm afraid Ukrop's own "family friendly" policy of not selling alcohol and closing Sunday have made it impossible to make a profit.
