TRTD 6: Damascus at Last

I'm safe and cool in MoJoe's coffeeshop, a very nice place with food, coffee, comfortable furniture and house computers for hikers coming off the Appalachian Trail. It has already been a good day. For $12 I picked up a brand new Schwinn bike rack, a pair of blue jeans, two books and a fanny pack. That helps take the sting out of not selling my bike. So does the coffee and cinnamon roll.

I want to get on the mountain as late as possible and catch the sunset coming down. There's a chance of thunderstorms and of course my rain slicker is at home. Maybe I can pick one up here for fifty cents. I like the idea of a thunderstorm in the mountains. I'm looking forward to the whole experience. The trip down can be done in as little as 90 minutes, but I'm planning on 3 or 4 hours and a couple naps on the way.

I'm still unable to get pictures online, but the camera will be fully loaded when I get back. This place is full of Kodak moments.
